Barrier selection
Vacuum or modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) options where applicable; oxygen barrier films and liners for oxidation-sensitive formats.
Procurement and QA teams don’t buy “hazelnuts” — they buy a specification that behaves the same way on the line, shipment after shipment. We structure supply around agreed parameters, documented lots, and packaging controls that protect aroma, texture and safety.
Quality is not one test. It’s the ability to consistently meet a written product definition under real shipping conditions: temperature swings, transit time, humidity, and your receiving and processing steps.
Our programs start by mapping your internal specification sheet (or target application) to a controlled product form (kernels, cuts, flour/meal, paste/puree, oil) and then locking the variables that actually affect performance.
If you are qualifying a new supplier: send your spec + intended use (e.g., chocolate fillings, bakery inclusions, ice-cream variegate), and we’ll propose a control plan and documentation pack.
Many global manufacturers require GFSI-recognized certifications, documented HACCP, and strong supplier approval evidence. We coordinate programs through large-scale Turkish processors that operate under structured food safety systems and third-party audit frameworks.[1][2]
Depending on product form and destination market, programs may include: BRCGS / BRC, IFS, FSSC 22000 / ISO 22000, ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory accreditation, plus optional Organic, Halal and Kosher evidence where applicable.[1][3][4]
We align testing to the risk profile of the format. Kernels are managed for moisture stability and defect control. Roasted products, paste and oil are managed for oxidation-sensitive attributes.
We can supply a COA template in advance so your QA team can approve the parameter list before the first shipment.
Below are common industrial benchmarks used by large processors and standards-based production in Turkey. Final values are always agreed per customer specification and destination regulations.[7][8]
| Product form | Typical controlled parameters | Why it matters on the line |
|---|---|---|
| Natural kernels | Moisture target, size (caliber), defect limits, foreign matter control, aflatoxin compliance. | Prevents texture drift, reduces breakage/dust, improves inclusion consistency, protects safety compliance. |
| Roasted kernels / cuts | Roast profile (color/aroma), oxidation control, oxygen-barrier packaging, fines/dust control. | Protects aroma, prevents rancidity, reduces variability in confectionery and bakery applications. |
| Blanched kernels | Blanch efficiency (skin removal), color target, breakage, moisture and surface cleanliness. | Delivers lighter appearance and smoother texture in pralines, creams and premium bakery. |
| Chopped / sliced / diced | Cut geometry, sieve fractions, dust fines max, foreign matter controls, oxidation controls if roasted. | Improves depositor performance, reduces dust in coatings, stabilizes visual appearance. |
| Flour / meal | Particle size distribution (e.g., D90 target), moisture control, fat behavior, microbiological controls as required. | Improves mixing behavior, prevents clumping, stabilizes texture and moisture management in recipes. |
| Paste / puree | Viscosity/texture target, particle size, oil separation tendency, oxidation control, microbiological controls as required. | Ensures pumpability and stable high-shear mixing; prevents phase separation in fillings and spreads. |
| Hazelnut oil | Peroxide/FFA targets, filtration, light/oxygen protection, packaging headspace control. | Extends shelf-life and protects sensory profile for culinary and cosmetic blends. |
Many Turkish industrial lines reference national hazelnut standards for in-shell, kernel and processed forms, while still producing to customer-specific parameter sets for global brands and retailers.[7][8]
We structure orders around identifiable lots and provide a documentation bundle aligned to your importer and destination requirements. For sensitive formats, we can align sampling frequency and retention sample handling.
If your onboarding requires a supplier questionnaire, send it — we’ll respond with product-form specific controls and evidence.
Packaging is part of quality. For roasted products, paste and oil, oxygen exposure is a primary shelf-life driver. We align barrier level and case packing to shipping mode (sea/road/air), climate, and warehouse conditions.
Vacuum or modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) options where applicable; oxygen barrier films and liners for oxidation-sensitive formats.
Storage temperature and humidity recommendations, FEFO practices, and receiving checks aligned to your QA expectations.
Clear pallet labels, lot visibility, stretch-wrap integrity, and export-ready palletization for container loading.
For private label retail, we can align case count, barcode workflow and label element list (language, allergens, nutrition panel where applicable).
Yes. We provide COA and shipment documentation aligned to the destination and customer requirements, including lot-based identification and standard export documents where applicable.
Yes. Share your specification sheet and target application. We will map it to the correct product format, propose a control plan, and align packaging to shelf-life risk.
We structure orders around identifiable lots and provide documentation to support internal traceability. If an issue occurs, we work back through lot data, production window, and test results to support a structured investigation.
We can align evidence packs and facility documentation through our processing partners, subject to confidentiality and NDA requirements. Typical evidence includes certification status, QA policy summaries, COA templates and process control descriptions.
Oxidation and temperature exposure are critical. We align oxygen barrier packaging, headspace control (where relevant), and transit/storage guidance to protect aroma and shelf-life.
Send your target product format, quantity, destination country and specification sheet (if available). We’ll respond with a spec-aligned offer and quality documentation list.
